Up to the point to which I have read, which is page
95 (of 155), I have created two "six word stories" that summarize the
novel, and I cannot seem to choose between the two of them. Due to my bewilderment,
I have decided to put both of them in this blog post.
1. Young wife discovering love and freedom.
2. Wife contradicting the era's social
expectations.
The first was my original sentence, however as I read a bit further, I
decided that the main character, Edna Pontellier, was not necessarily
discovering freedom, since she has so many restrictions set upon her by
society.
